Quiche Perfection: Ham it Up with Cheese-ify cravings!

Ingredients:

  • 1 9 inch pre-made deep dish pie shell

  • 6 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup milk

  •  3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup diced ham

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Gruyere)

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Garnish with chopped Chives

  • Optional: add chopped vegetables (bell peppers, onions, spinach) for added flavour & texture


Kitchen Equipment:

  • Mixing bowl

  • Whisk

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Pie dish or quiche pan

  •  Knife and cutting board

  • Baking sheet


Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt until well combined.

3. Place the pre-made pie shell in a pie dish or quiche pan.

4. Spread the diced ham evenly over the bottom of the pie shell.

5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the ham.

6. If using, add the chopped vegetables on top of the cheese.

7. Pour the egg mixture over the ham, cheese, and vegetables in the pie shell.

8. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.

9. Place the pie dish on a baking sheet (to catch any spills) and transfer to the preheated oven.

10. Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and golden brown on top.

11. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

12. Garnish with chopped chives
