Ingredients:

  • 1 package of refrigerated pizza dough (or refer to Ultimate Easy Homemade Pizza Dough & Pizza Sauce Recipe)

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese, dried Italian herbs, red hot pepper flakes

  • Cornmeal

  • Your choice of pizza toppings (e.g., pepperoni slices, sliced bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, pesto, arugula, prosciutto, hot peppers, sliced Italian sausage, etc.)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Rolling pin

  • Knife or pizza cutter

  • Baking sheet

  • Pastry brush

  • Fork

  • Cutting Board

  • Grater


Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and line a baking sheet with cornmeal.

  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares or circles, depending on your preference and the size you want your mini pizza to be.

  3. Place a spoonful of pizza sauce in the centre of each piece of dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. Add a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, followed by your choice of pizza toppings.

  5. Place the mini pizzas on the prepared flat baking sheet with cornmeal. (The cornmeal will act as little ball bearings to help move the pizza from the pizza peel into the oven.)

  6. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and dried Italian herbs on top for extra flavour.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes, or until the pizza are golden brown, may take longer depending on thickness of crust

  8. Let them cool slightly before serving.
