Crispy Tofu Delight with Peanut Sauce & Veggies

Indulgent vegan dish featuring crispy tofu, a creamy peanut sauce, and a colourful mix of veggies. Wholesome, nutrient-packed, and bursting with flavour !


Servings: 2-3 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 block firm tofu, drained and sliced into cubes

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage

  • 1 cup shredded carrots

  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish


For Peanut Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger

  • 2-4 tbsp water (adjust for desired consistency)


Kitchen Equipment Needed: 

  • Skillet

  • medium bowl

  • small saucepan

  • whisk

  • Measuring cups

  • Measuring spoons

  • Chefs knife


Directions :

1. In a medium bowl, toss tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and fry until crispy and golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove tofu from the skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add shredded cabbage and carrots. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.

4. In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients for peanut sauce over low heat. Whisk until smooth and heated through.

5. To serve, plate the crispy tofu on a bed of veggies, drizzle with peanut sauce, and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
