Sinfully Choco Cake

Enjoy a heavenly chocolate experience with our Sinfully Choco Cake. This decadent treat combines rich cocoa flavours, moist texture to bring a slice of chocolate paradise to your dessert table. Get ready to satisfy your sweet cravings and taste buds with every bite of this irresistible creation.

Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups All Purpose Flour

  • 2 tsp Baking Powder

  • 1 ½ tsp Baking Soda

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 cup of Cocoa Powder

  • 1 cup Butter @ Room Temperature

  • 2 cups of Hot water

  • 2 cups Sugar

  • 4 Large Eggs, @ Room Temperature


Kitchen equipment

  • Mixing bowls

  • Sieve

  • Whisk

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Rubber spatula

  • Stand mixer with paddle attachment

  • 2 x 8-inch cake rounds or a 9x13-inch cake pan

  • Parchment paper

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and get ready to embark on a chocolatey adventure!

2. Line the bottom of your cake pans with parchment paper to ensure easy removal later on.

3. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then whisk until well combined. Set aside and get ready for the next step.

4. Time to get that cocoa magic going! Place the cocoa powder in a heatproof bowl, then pour 2 cups of hot water over it. Whisk until smooth and set aside to cool slightly.

5. In the bowl of your stand mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 8 minutes. Let that buttery goodness bring a smile to your face!

6. Add the eggs, two at a time, mixing well after each addition. Don't forget to scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is well mixed.

7. Now, it's time to bring the dry and wet ingredients together in perfect harmony. Gradually add the flour mixture and cocoa mixture to the butter mixture, alternating between the two, and mixing until just combined. Take care not to OverMix – we want a tender cake!

8. Pour the batter into your prepared pans and bake until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Approximately 45 minutes for the 9 x 13-inch pan or 55 minutes for the 8-inch pans, rotating the pan(s) halfway through.

9. Once baked, let the cake cool completely in the pans. For an extra touch of indulgence, refrigerate overnight before removing the cake from the pans and peeling off the parchment.
